College Facilities
The facility requirements for Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm - 2 Years) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm - 4 Years) programs, as mandated by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), are outlined below:
Mandatory Laboratories & Special Facilities
Each laboratory must be a minimum of 75 to 90 sq. mts equipped with preparation rooms, fume hoods, continuous water/gas lines, and safety eye-wash stations.
Pharmaceutics & Formulation Lab: Equipped with tablet compression machines, dissolution test apparatus, disintegration apparatus, and liquid filling units.
Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Analysis Lab: Dedicated to synthesis, chemical testing, and quality control; features analytical balances, pH meters, UV-Visible spectrophotometers, and HPLC instruments.
Pharmacology & Human Anatomy-Physiology (HAP) Lab: Features anatomical models, digital simulation software, and organ bath setups.
Pharmacognosy Lab: Includes crude drug display sets, projection microscopes, and extraction apparatus (Soxhlet) for herbal drug studies.
Central Instrumentation Room (A/C): Contains high-end analytical equipment like HPLC, UV Spectrophotometer, and digital balances.
Machine Room: Contains pilot-scale manufacturing machinery such as ball mills, coating pans, and rotary tablet presses.
Aseptic / Microbiology Lab: Designed for sterility testing with Laminar Airflow workstations, autoclaves, and BOD incubators.
2. Digital & Academic Infrastructure
Computer Lab: Minimum 15–30 terminal PCs connected via high-speed LAN/Wi-Fi, equipped with drug design software, language lab systems, and biometric systems.
Central Book Library: Contains 1,500+ title volumes for D.Pharm and 2,000+ for B.Pharm, national/international pharmacy journals, digital databases, and reprographic (photocopy/scan) facilities.
Smart Classrooms: Equipped with digital projectors, smart boards, and internet connectivity (min. 2 classrooms for D.Pharm and 4 for B.Pharm).
3. Campus Support Facilities
Herbal Garden: Maintains a live collection of medicinal plant species for practical study in Pharmacognosy.
Pharmacy Museum: Exhibits various dosage forms, historical medical instruments, wall charts, and crude plant/animal drug specimens.
Chemical & Inflammable Stores: Fire-rated, well-ventilated storage rooms dedicated to safely handling hazardous solvents and raw chemicals.
Common Amenities: Separate Boys' & Girls' Common Rooms, administrative offices, faculty rooms, and first-aid/health centers.
